“Catastrophic” in Printed Resistance Anthology 01: Erase

I contributed erasure poetry of a sort from the BBC’s latest ‘Gaza’ article at the time of writing, UN-backed experts say Gaza food supplies improving but 100,000 still in ‘catastrophic conditions’. All proceeds are donated to UNICEF Gaza Crisis Appeal.

“Curse” in GLUE — issue #2

In collaboration with artist Cadan Welch, I crafted a modern Roman curse tablet, based on the lead artifacts found in Bath. As well as the fragmented nature of the sentiments that remained, we were inspired by the deity Sulis Minnerva, current issues, and poems like E. E. Cummings’ “My sweet old etcetera”.

This poem arrived while sat on the London underground. Through the Tube’s banshee screech, and games in the window’s reflection, I go back to when horror took root for me.

“Processing…” in NYPL’s Library Zine! Volume 8

This piece was inspired by my journey to vegetarianism. Or more broadly, the process of becoming more aware of all the little things that we can do to help with the climate crisis. It formed from that, a passing reference I heard to the first paper linking CO2 emissions with global warming, and Dan Smith’s time on the Sargasso Sea with Greenpeace.
